✅ What is a Hope Study Bible School? (BETA)
A Hope Study Bible School is a mission-driven, outward-focused ministry within a local church, designed to win souls for the Kingdom through systematic Bible study, training, and discipleship. It is approved by the church board, connected to Hope Channel Canada, and committed to multiplication and growth.
✅ Core Requirements for a Local Church to Qualify
Mission-Driven Focus
- The school exists to reach people for Christ, not just run a simple bible study.
- Must remain outward-focused and evangelistic.
Church Board Approval
- The church board votes to establish the Bible school as a Ministry.
And elects the Bible School coordinator (can be the teacher or another leader).
- Oversight by an elder and pastor is recommended.
Curriculum
- Must have a local Pastor approved set of Bible study courses (e.g., HopeStudy.ca, Discover Bible School lessons).
- Flexibility for local adaptation, but curriculum must be clear and structured.
- Tests/quizzes to ensure students are grasping the bible lessons.
- We at HCC need to be sure that the student’s are understanding clearly.
- Upon completion of courses – Local Coordinator will follow up with student to either continue studies, plan for a Graduation or prepare for baptism.
School must participate in one Hope Study Campaign per year
- Watched live, or through the Hope Study archive.
- 6-8 (30 min) Episodes each Campaign
- Downloadable and Printable Studies available
Teachers & Multiplication
- At least one committed teacher to start, but aim for multiplication (teachers train others).
- Ratio guideline: Start small, grow as interest increases.
- Teachers must be passionate about giving Bible studies.
Open to the Public
- The school must accept enrolment from the community, not just members.
Training
- Coordinators & teachers receive training from Hope Channel Canada.
- Focus on staying mission-driven and outward.
Graduation/Baptismal Services
- Every Bible school must hold graduation events, which may include baptismal services, to celebrate students and connect them to the local church.
Structure & Accountability
- Minimum of 4 meetings per year with the Hope Study Canada National Coordinator.
- Commitment to follow best practices and maintain mission focus.
Vision & Mission
- Mission never changes: Win souls and make disciples.
- Vision can adapt: Methods and campaigns may vary.
Partnership
- Bible schools are local but connected to Hope Channel Canada for resources, training, and campaigns.
- At least one series with Hope Study Show

It is not just a casual bible group for members to discuss issues.
It is not optional for churches that want to be part of the Hope Study movement—it requires commitment and accountability.
✅ Best Practices
Start with a champion who is passionate about Bible studies, this person is the Coordinator.
Build a team for sustainability and multiplication.
Use graduation events to create momentum, celebrate progress and connect guests with church.
Keep the school open, structured, and mission-focused.
Keep regular attendance with Hope Study Canada Coordinator
